Time has run out for Sir John

While Sir John probably had investigative attributes he was clearly unable to sympathise and assess the feelings of ordinary folk in stressed communities that had lost loved ones or had family members severely maimed.

The news that his inquiry will still not be released until summer next year is yet another manifestation of his inability to run this inquiry.

It is something like 12 years since the war.

It is the government of the day that is ultimately responsible.

Why has the government dithered in sacking Sir John?

Even after a couple of years MPs should have been incensed enough on behalf of their constituents to force a more competent person that has a broader respect for community’s concerns.

This is not just a matter of evaluating the actual facts regarding the Iraq conflict but also being able to imbibe the will of the populace.

Most of the inquiry is surely now on paper.

So why can Sir John not be replaced to allow a person to take over that is more sympathetic to human emotions?

Time has surely well run out for Sir John Chilcot and his appeasement to those that might be implemented for inappropriate political decisions.
