Here are two great natural brands with new products for the autumn. Liz Earle has had another breakthrough in botanical brilliance called Superskin Moisturiser to combat trans-epidermal moisture loss and improve barrier function. Look up #slowtheticking on Twitter to see some launch photographs with ethnobotanist James Wong and Liz herself.

The new Superskin ingredients smell divine: neroli, chamomile, and lavandin mix in with the original plant formulations of cranberry, borage, and organic rosehip oils. The pomegranate flower extract has collagen-protecting flavonoid properties - and the actives are rich in GLA, omega-3, and antioxidants to plump, moisturise and smooth dryer, more mature skins.

I really enjoyed the consistency of this luxurious cream; it is powerful, yet you can still blend it under make-up in the mornings while you inhale the scent and let it settle: £39 for 50ml and £14.50 for 15ml from next month in selected John Lewis and Boots stores or at www.lizearle.com.

My second tip is a transforming REN treatment to instantly revitalise and rejuvenate the skin. Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial (with water-activated Vitamin C) will be nationally available next month.

REN's philosophy of clean skin care is based on performance, purity, and pleasure. Their groundbreaking formulations use the latest hi-tech actives, with rigorous product testing to achieve clinically-proven results. REN use only 100% plant and mineral-derived actives (free from synthetic ingredients).

I was dubious if Flash Rinse would work in just 60 seconds, but I enjoy being proved wrong; Elle magazine says Flash Rinse is the best skincare innovation of the year. I used it on Monday evening after my holidays and was amazed at how different my face felt after the first go (wait three days between uses).

The gel is applied to the face and massaged in for a few seconds. It lightly exfoliates, then you add water. The moisture immediately activates the gel to deliver an intense shot of potent Vitamin C to the skin.

I had an instant glow with a renewed, healthier radiance. The wash neutralises urban grey and reduces the signs of fatigue. I'll probably use another blast on Thursday to kick off the weekend. Order online from renskincare.com or head over to Marks and Spencer in Western Road, or Space.NK in The Lanes to check it out locally: £32 for 75ml - and a little goes a long way.
