{http://allsortsdogrescue.org.uk/|Allsorts Dog Rescue} have supported animals at their Henfield site for the last 20-odd years.

They currently need to secure a new location (possibly a farm with outbuildings, or existing kennels that are unused in the mid-Sussex area) to continue doing what they love. It is a much needed and hugely appreciated service.

“We really want to carry on doing what we do best, saving these beautiful dogs from uncertain futures and making people happy. But in order to do this we really need to find a new base for our dogs,” said the Allsorts team. Many of the rescue dogs are just 24 hours off being destroyed (including my infamous Collie Spitz, Ramsey who scraped his way out of an Irish kill shelter via Allsorts in 2014).

Lesley Crook is very touched by the need for new Allsorts premises. Her own little dog, Teddybeargrylls is an #AllsortsDogRescue himself. As fans of the lovely Martlets Snowdogs, Lesley got her husband Steve Crook to pose with Teddy visiting each of the Snowdogs and because there is no ‘official’ calendar, Martlets approved the resulting calendar as a fundraiser project.

This calendar is also on Facebookand aims to deepen relationships in the community by supporting Jess Shepherd, raising awareness for Allsorts Dog Rescue and keeping good memories flowing for Martlets.

Lesley said: “I want to help raise money for Jess and to raise money for cancer patients and their families in the hospice.”

Each calendar is £8 and all of the proceeds go to The Jess Shepherd Charity. Readers can email to make purchases directly via lesleyanncrook@gmail.com

Sarah Harvey, Snowdogs by the Sea project manager, said: “We’re glad that so many people enjoyed the trail and we’re sure the calendar will be popular with local dog owners.”
