Parade begins for Brighton Pride 2018
Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets to cheer on the Brighton Pride community parade today (August 4).
The vibrant procession, pictured here by Eddie Mitchell, transformed the city into a carnival of colour, with LGBT+ groups, emergency services, local companies, charities and many others marching or travelling in floats from Hove Lawns, through the city centre and up to Preston Park.
The Pride Festival kicks off at Preston Park this afternoon, which will see pop superstar Britney Spears perform this evening.
