Brighton and Hove’s clinical commissioning group (CCG) said people can use the Brighton Station Health Centre’s walk in clinic to ‘free up emergency services for those most in need’.

The CCG said ‘the last few months have been extremely difficult for the NHS across the country’, with particular pressure on A&E departments and local GP surgeries.

Those with minor infections and rashes, stomach upsets, superficial cuts and bruises, minor burns and strains to visit Brighton Station Health Centre for treatment.

Dr David Supple, clinical chair of the CCG, said: “This May Bank holiday, if you do need urgent care that is not an emergency, you can get treated quickly without an appointment at the Brighton Station Health Centre. There is no need to be a registered patient or to make an appointment to and it offers easy access to quick treatment from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.

“Everyone can #HelpMyNHS by choosing the right service at the right time, freeing up emergency services for those most in need.”
