Pebsham pupils enjoy World Book Day

Pebsham Primary Academy joined together for World Book Day last Thursday (March 2).

Staff and pupils dressed up as characters from the world of literature, including Gruffalos and Mad Hatters.

The children worked together for a day of book-themed work.

Assembly saw a cat-walk parade of costumes and prizes for the best in each class.

Vouchers were awarded to ‘book cover’ competition winners.

Children finished the day by purchasing books from a visiting book fair.

Headteacher Rachel Martin said: “It was an incredible day, children and staff went to great efforts to think of interesting and creative characters.

“Today I met Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka, the Demon Dentist and Horrid Henry, we even had a collection of Harry Potters.
