A spokesperson for Hove Civic Society, which has masterminded the popular community art project, said: “Constellation has heroically weathered many storms on the Hove seafront and occasionally needs a bit of TLC

“This morning Constellation sculptor Jonathan Wright came over to ensure everything was in order.

“Early morning promenaders watched a scaffolding tower going up and Jonathan in hard hat and high vis vest climbing five meters up to give Queen Victoria and other icons a check-up.

“We can confirm that all is well and Constellation continues to twinkle in the sun.”
