Brighton is most Instagramable seaside town

Mojo Mortgages has analysed which is the most beautiful seaside town to live in by looking at the number of hashtags it has on Instagram.

Brighton featured in 6,391,150 hashtags.

A surge in the number of people looking for jobs outside London has been mirrored by a spike in city dwellers looking for new homes in more rural locations, and those who want a bit of city and beach life are turning to Brighton for its versatility.

Second in the list with 1,843,327 hashtags was Plymouth.

Bournemouth is in third place with 1,694,804 hashtags. The beautiful seaside is the reason Bournemouth’s accommodation costs aren’t as low as other areas in the UK. That said, its sandy beaches and outstanding sunshine are enough to lure city dwellers from far and wide. The reason its beaches are particularly appealing is the stunning weather. Bournemouth receives up to 25 per cent more sunshine than the UK average during the summer months.

Out of the 30 seaside locations analysed, Devon and Cornwall were the most instagramed counties.
