This was the scene when a car hit a utility pole opposite a Sussex village pub on New Year’s Eve.

Police say that the crash happened on the B2135 at around 8.30pm near The Fountain pub in Ashurst.

Officers say a person escaped with a ‘minor injury.’

Sussex Police
