Covid-19 vaccine rollout begins at care home as staff and residents receive first doses

Staff and residents at a care home in Walberton have received their first Covid-19 vaccinations this week.

Walberton Place Care Home was one of the first in the Arundel area to receive the vaccinations and, so far, 30 staff and residents at Walberton Place have received the Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccine with the delivery programme administered by staff from Avisford Medical Group.

Clinical manager Luis Maia said: “Our staff and residents have been very patiently awaiting the moment that we can start to receive the vaccine.

“We certainly see this as a step in the right direction back to normality.
