This fun-loving four-year-old adores playing with toys and is particularly partial to a game of fetch.

Lacey also enjoys food and learning new things, which the rehoming centre staff say is a big help in reward-based training.

Adel Burnett, rehoming centre manager, said: “It may take her some time before she builds up a trusting bond but once Lacey knows you, she’ll light up when she sees you and lean into you for a fuss.”

Lacey is not a fan of other dogs or animals and would much rather spend time with humans. She will need to be the only pet in a peaceful, adult-only household, where there will not be too many visitors or too much going on.

Her ideal home would be situated on a quiet road and she will need to be walked in quiet areas, as she can be sensitive to noises, busy environments and when faced with other dogs.

Multiple visits will be needed to the centre in Brighton Road to get to know Lacey and training will need to be continued at home. To register your interest, telephone 01273 915100.
