Lucy Fensom, the charity’s Field Director in Israel, said: “The work that we do in Israel and Palestine is vitally important to the health and welfare of these poor gentle creatures and helps them have a better life. The political situation makes our work even more important and our veterinary outreach work is really helping to educate people in the region to appreciate how important it is to look after their donkeys properly.”

She added: “We would like to thank all our supporters who came along on the day.” For more information visit www.safehaven4donkeys.org.
