Cars have been abandoned in Barcombe Mills after the River Ouse burst its banks and flooded the roads.

The Environment Agency said half a month’s rain (40mm) was recorded at Barcombe following torrential rain on Sunday (December 18) and Monday (December 19).

Water has extensively flown through the fields, leading to Barcombe Mills Road and Anchor Lane becoming impassable.
