Part of the Downs Link at Itchingfield is to be closed later this month for surface improvement works.
A stretch of bridleway between the A264 Five Oaks Road Bridge and Baystone Bridge will shut from September 19.
West Sussex County Council says the closure will last for 21 days or until the works are completed.
