BMX riders, skateboarders and rollerbladers are set to bring an ‘electric’ atmosphere to Brighton this weekend.
Six members of Team Extreme will perform on a large spine ramp in The Village, at Brighton Marina, tomorrow (Saturday), Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm.
In between the displays, they will also meet spectators and provide free tuition and coaching.
Manager of Team Extreme Doug Peel, who will also MC on the day, said they aim ‘to bring extreme sports to the eyes of the general public’.
He said: “Team Extreme is unique in that we have a ‘Mix of Wheels’ with BMX, scoot riders, skateboarding and inline skating.
“Our event at Brighton Marina will be the first of the season and it will be the first time that the riders have seen each other since last year, so the atmosphere
will be electric.
“The riders love coaching the kids who come to watch them so if any of them want to give it a go, we will kit them out in pads and helmets and we will work at the level of the individual so there is no pressure. Rollerbladers are welcome if they have their own skates.”
Marketing manager of Savills Brighton Marina Sophie Chandler said they 'are beyond excited to be hosting some of the UK’s best extreme riders here at Brighton Marina'.
She added: “This is also a really unique opportunity for visitors to try out these different sports whilst being coached by some of the best in the industry.”
