Tribute to coronavirus deaths left on Hove seafront
A tribute to the people who have died with coronavirus has been left on Hove seafront.
The number 44,602 has been arranged in shingle on the lawns by a mystery person or group.
It represents the number of people who have died with coronavirus in the UK.
However, tragically, this number has risen since it was placed – it is now 44,650, according to government figures.
Each stone has a number written on it, perhaps representing each person who has died in connection with covid-19.
