A play which highlights issues facing young gypsies and travellers through one girl’s exploration of her Romany history will be staged at a Brighton theatre tomorrow.

Crystal’s Vardo uses music, humour and storytelling to tell the tale of a young girl on a quest to piece together her ancestry.

The play, created by the Brighton-based charity Friends, Families and Travellers, aims to tackle the discrimination that many gypsies and travellers face in schools and elsewhere.

The production, which is written by Suzanna King and is in its seventh year of touring, will be performed at the Rialto Theatre in Dyke Road, Brighton at 7pm on Wednesday (June 27).
