PLEDGE MADE OVER POST OFFICES' FUTURE

A HIGH-PROFILE campaign against rural post office closures in the county has been promised by council leader Henry Smith.

He spoke out after it was revealed that November 13 is the date set for the first series of announcements that could impact on post office services in West Sussex.

Other parts of the country will know their fate in January.

Nationwide, 2,500 post offices are to be closed by the end of next year following a series of local consultations lasting six weeks.
