Police CCTV appeal after Brighton assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in St James' Street, Brighton.

They said would like to speak to two men caught on CCTV in relation to the assault outside The Black Dove pub at 8.55am on May 11.

The 27-year-old woman was waiting for a taxi when she was approached by two men, said officers. The first man was abusive to her and grabbed her arm. The second man was also abusive. Another man intervened and walked the victim away to safety and she got in a taxi, said police.

The first suspect pictured on CCTV is white, 5’ 9”, with mousy brown gelled back hair and was wearing a light coloured top, a yellow florescent jacket, black trousers and white trainers. The second man is white, thin, aged in his 30s, with light brown, messy ginger hair and was wearing black clothing.
