Police name Seaford woman who died suddenly at netball match

A 44-year-old woman who died while watching a netball match has been identified by police today (Friday, January 29).

Jane Elizabeth Carter, from Seaford, passed away on the evening of Thursday, January 21 at the Hampden Park sports centre, in Brodrick Road, Eastbourne.

Sussex Police, the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance attended but were unable to save her.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances but the cause of her death is still being investigated.

The coroner for East Sussex has been informed.
