PC Munden added; “These enquiries are part of Operation Retail, an ongoing initiative aimed at reducing and detecting shoplifting in Horsham District.

“We currently have a new radio scheme in place in Horsham town centre and we would welcome new shop members. It allows members to communicate with each other and the police.

“We are also setting up a new website in place which has been put together with the local Community Safety Partnership and which will be live from March 2015. This will allow members of the Shopwatch schemes to see photos of known offenders.
