I was lucky enough to be brought up by a lovely Mum and Dad who let me express myself.

Consequently, I excelled as a class clown, and so never went to university.

I did, however, go on to various jobs. In no particular order they have been as a cleaner, shelf stacker, lorry loader, warehouse man, post room manager, labourer, baker, landscape gardener, graphics tutor, fishmonger, copywriter, pipe cutter, chocolate maker, computer assembler, charity worker, drummer, voice-over artist, painter and decorator, labourer, complaints respondent, care home assistant, printing shop attendant, and in between all of them, an artist.

It’s one quote, from a very well known artist, that has particularly resonated with me.

It was Picasso that said ‘The chief enemy of creativity is good sense’.

And I think that sometimes the best solutions can be found through thinking laterally, not literally. By thinking outside the box. Something that is sadly absent from Parliament.

So that’s why I’m running for The OFFICIAL Monster Raving Loony Party at this Election.

Because they take the toxicity out of the political climate, raise the morale of the voters, and always try and throw a few half-decent ideas into the mix.

The Government and The Opposition have reached unprecedented levels of silliness, and for all their posturing, aren’t offering any answers to anything.

The Loony Party are actually looking like the most sensible choice we’ve got.

Why not vote Loony? Things can’t possibly get any dafter than they already are.
