Colgate and Slaugham Parish Councils have submitted objections to the plans for reasons including that the development would increase traffic on an already busy Horsham Road, that it lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This is the third attempt by a developer to build housing here. Two applications submitted in 2013 were both refused.
