Modular imaging suite set to be built in Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital

The plans will see the construction of a modular imaging suite divided into three units for MRI, reception and CT scanning.

As well as the suite new bollards and planters will be added to the perimeter of the building, the bike shelter relocated and the current mobile MRI scanner unit discontinued.

18 car parking spaces will also be taken away as part of the building work.

Alongside the application, Nuffield will also investing in an upgrade of the incoming electrical supply on the site to run the new scanners.

This will permit the current generator in the car park to be removed, creating a ‘net benefit to the wider site, as the noise of the generator has in the past been a source of complaint from nearby residents.’
