With three consultation events remaining Leader of the Town Council Cllr Mike Pulfer said: “This is your time to input into the bright future for Haywards Heath and I would implore anyone with an interest in the town to input their views, we want to hear from you.

“We have had a great deal of interest in the draft plan with a number of emails and written representations being sent to us, but we always want more.”

Mayor of Haywards Heath Cllr Sandy Ellis added: “We want to hear from the whole community, residents, community groups, and business owners – anyone with an interest in the town.

“We particularly want to hear from young people, people with disabilities and ethnic groups.

“This is your plan, and I want to encourage the whole community to take ownership of Haywards Heath’s bright future.”

Weekly sessions at the Town Hall continue on Mondays between 10am and 2pm and Fridays between 12pm and 4pm up until the consultation closing date of midnight on Sunday March 23.

Events are still to take place at the following venues, Saltworkz Café (March 12), Haywards Heath Town Hall (March 21) and the last event at the Orchards Shopping Centre (March 22) which will be family friendly with toys available to entertain children visiting with their parents or guardians.

Town Councillors will be on hand at all of the events to discuss the draft plan with you, and talk through the consultation feedback form.

As Mayor Sandy Ellis explained: “It might well be that you wholeheartedly agree with the content of the plan, for example the protection of a green corridor and preference for development of brownfield sites over any other - but we still want to hear from you, so please use this opportunity to get involved.”
