PRISONER FOUND DEAD
A REMAND prisoner was found dead in a cell in Lewes Prison on Sunday afternoon after apparently slitting his throat.
Robert Eaton, 48, from Hastings, who was awaiting trial for rape and had been on remand since April 18, was found by shocked staff.
An inquiry has been launched by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.
