Public debate cleanliness of The Pavilions in The Park

More than 100 people have taken to social media to debate the cleanliness of The Pavilions leisure centre in Horsham Park today (Wednesday January 9).

The public raised serious concerns after a Facebook user known as Keijo posted on a Horshm forum page: “Is it just me who think the cleaning in the Pavilions is not up to scratch?”

It is the second comment of its kind to be posted on the website this week. It followed numerous responses from disgruntled leisure centre customers.

Concerns sparked a response from Horsham District Council. A spokesperson for the local authority posted on the same Facebook page: “It is disappointing to note the number of adverse comments about cleanliness at The Pavilions in The Park in Horsham.

“Horsham District Council takes these comments very seriously and recognises that standards need to improve to match customer expectations. “DC Leisure, which manages the centre on behalf of the council, has committed to improving and maintaining cleanliness standards to the very highest level and council officers will be monitoring the situation to ensure that standards are raised.

“Any further comments can be sent to DC Leisure by emailing [email protected]
