Reunion for old school chums

FRIENDS Reunited, the web site that puts people back in touch with each other, has inspired a reunion for former pupils of Newhaven Secondary School - specifically those born between September 1946 and August 1947.

'About nine months ago five of us got back in touch and found we got on really well and enjoyed talking over our old school days,' said Maureen Hext.

The others are Pam Ranger, Joan Henfrey, Madelaine Thurston and Shirley Terry.

'Consequently, we have decided to hold a reunion and we would welcome anyone from our year at Newhaven Secondary School (now Tideways).'

The event is on Saturday, April 5, at the Ship Hotel in Newhaven, from 8pm.
