Road closures in preparation for Littlehampton Bonfire Night

ORGANISERS of the Bonfire are urging residents and spectators to not park along the procession route, which is subject to road closure orders.

Arun District Council and Sussex Police will be enforcing no parking regulations in road subject to closures, and any vehicles illegally parked will be ticketed and towed away.

Car parking bays in Sea Road will be closed all day and evening.

Roads subject to road closure orders and parking restrictions are as follows:

Maltravers Road, Fitzalan Road (south from the East Street junction) and Maltravers Drive have no parking from noon and will be closed from 4.30pm until 11pm.

No parking will be permitted from 4pm along Granville Road, Selborne Road (from Granville Road to St Winefrides Road junctions), St Winefrides Road, Church Street, Manor Parade, Beach Road, St Catherines Road, South Terrace (east from junction with St Catherines Road), Norfolk Road (from South Terrace to Sea Road) and Sea Road (from Norfolk Road to the Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre). The roads will be closed between 7pm and 10.30pm.

New Road, Surrey Street (to junction with High Street), Beach Road (from East Street junction to the war memorial) will be closed between 4.45pm and 5.45pm, with no parking from noon.

St Floras Road (from junction with Parkside Avenue to Sportsman roundabout), Berry Lane (junction with St Floras Road to junction with Southway) will be closed from 7pm to 9.15pm.

There will be no parking along Beach Road (south of junction with Maltravers Road) from noon with the road closed between 3pm and 11pm.

East Street, from junction with Franciscan Way to High Street, will be closed between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.

The Banjo Road car park will be closed from 6pm today (Friday, October 24) with the East Green car park closing earlier at 8am tomorrow and will remain closed for the whole day on Saturday.
