Robbery at Bexhill bookmakers

Police are investigating a robbery at a bookmakers in Bexhill.

Officers said they were called to the BetFred store in Cooden Sea Road, off Little Common Road, just after 8pm last night (Saturday March 26) after reports a robbery had taken place at the store.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the area was cordoned off whilst officers investigated the incident.

Police left the scene at around 11pm and the store has been re-opened.

The spokesman added it is not yet known how much has been taken and the investigation is still ongoing.
