St Mary's Salehurst: will be holding this weeks services, Sunday 31st January (Epiphany 4) starting with Holy Communion at the Mission Room at 9am and then Matins at 11am at Salehurst.

For those of you that have received the Parish Newsletter you will already know this, but for those that haven’t yet there is a letter from Bishop Richard circulated with it. The letter is about the proposed appointment of a vicar for Salehurst and Hurst Green. After much discussion by both PCC`s the advert will appear in the Church Times and on the Chichester Diocese Website this week end. Everyone is praying for a great response and an opportunity to appoint the right candidate for both parishes.

Robertsbridge Scouts: are holding a Family Quiz on Saturday 6th February at Robertsbridge Hall between 6pm – 8.30pm. Teams are max. of 8 people with each team having at least 2 children and 1 adult. Tickets are £4 for adults and £2 for children and under 5`s are free. There will be tea and coffee and nibbles available but why not take along a picnic supper. Robertsbridge Jazz Club: presents four fantastic musicians in February with the brilliant Chris Laurence Quartet. This features Chris Laurence on the Bass, Frank Ricotti, Vibes, John Parricelli on guitar and Martin France on the drums. It is ion Thursday 11th February at Robertsbridge Hall starting at 8pm. Tickets are £10 on the door, or in advance from Judges Bakery at £8.00

Lynette’s Calendars: are the product of a local artist showing her views on Robertsbridge. Lynette has done many calendars over the years of the village and how it changes. If you were not lucky enough to get one at Christmas and would still like to buy one please go into Belle Flowers as they have the calendars for sale in there. Now only £6.30, a very good price for the artwork alone.

DARTS: We played at The Old King John last Friday and lost the singles darts 4-3 with victories for Gary Honeysett, Michael Stone and Keith Stone. Frankie Taylor/Alice Hodges won the Ladies Pairs 2-0 and there were 100+ scores for Gary[108], Andrew York[2 x 100], Kevin Dixon[2 x 100], Guy Ballard[100], Keith[100] and Alice[100]. We lost Pushpenny 5-0 but Michael Stone did get a ‘goldwatch’. Tonight we are playing Mountfield Club ‘A’ at Hawkhurst Legion in the Knockout Cup 8p.m.

FOOTBALL: Another week of no football due to the waterlogged pitches. Tomorrow the 1st team are at home to Rock-a-Nore in the Macron East Sussex Football League Premier Division while the 2nd team are away to Parkfield in Division 5 at Eastbourne Sports Park with both matches K.O. 2p.m.
