Robertsbridge Club: tomorrow evening Saturday 25th October the band `Vexed` are playing from 8pm.

Halloween Party: On Friday 31st October there is a Halloween Party being held to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice. This is a children’s party being held between 6pm – 8pm with tickets available in advance from Sandie at the Floral Boutique which cost £3 or pay on the door £4. Lots of Halloween activities, games and food. Get those fancy dress outfits ready for a really fun evening.

Aviation Society: The Aviation Museum will be open on Sunday 26th October between 2pm – 5pm and is the last chance you will have to visit this year. There is free parking and admission although donations are always welcome. The Association would like to thank all those that have supported this year to raise much-needed funds to keep the museum going. Twinning Association: are holding their annual quiz on Friday 31st October at Robertsbridge Hall opening at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. The theme for the evening will be Halloween with a prize for best fancy dress. It is essential to book a table as this is very popular and you can do so by phoning Sandie at the Floral Boutique on 880977 or pop in and see her. Tickets are £7 for members and £9 for non-members. The cost includes and evening supper. A bar will be available and also a raffle with a Champagne prize.

Film Night: the next showing is on Friday 7th November at Robertsbridge Hall with the film `The Grand Budapest Hotel` Doors open at 7pm with the film commencing at 7.30pm. This monthly event is proving to be very popular and you can enjoy an ice cream or even a glass of wine whilst watching.

Remembrance Sunday: Lunch is taking place on Sunday 9th November after the Parade and Memorial Service has finished. Meals from 1pm – 3pm with booking on 880673 advisable.

Dementia Supper Club: are meeting up at the Ostrich on Thursday 30th October from 6.30pm onwards. If you care for someone living with Dementia and would like to pop in and meet up with others to share experiences and strengthen your support network please do. You do not to have supper if you don’t wish to. There will be music and laughter as nothing is too formal. Bonfire Society: the dates for all the meetings for the Bonfire Society are on Thursdays 30th October, 6th November and 13th November, all being held at Robertsbridge Club at 8pm. We are 3 weeks away for the best night in Robertsbridge. Marshals and collectors are still needed so please if you would like to help please contact Pete Claridge on 880468. The Guy Competition is talking place again this year so start raiding the wardrobes for the best-dressed guy materials. Details nearer the time. Tomorrow Saturday 25th is when Staplecross hold their event so we would like to wish them well and hope the weather is kind. There is no coach going this week but some society members will be making their own way. If you see them in procession please cheer.

Clocks: Finally this weekend is when the clocks alter. Please don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night.

LADIES DARTS: The Ladies started the new season away to The Red Lion in the League Knockout Cup. Jackie Danaher was the only victor in the singles while Steph Goldsmith/Dawn Mitchell won their pairs game. With the match already lost Steph/Alice Hodges/Carol Apps won their trebles game as we lost 8-3. There were high scores for Alice[96,78], Carol[93,92,87], Steph[81] and Jackie[74]. Monday[27th] we are at home to The Bear I 8p.m.
