Tomorrow Saturday 23rd June is the RoCoCo Jubilee Concert at the United Reformed Church on the High Street.

This opens at 7.30pm and is free entry but any donations will be gratefully received and will be sent to Macmillan. There will be some new numbers from the choir, a whistle stop tour around the UK and some old favourites to join in with. If you would like any further information please ring 880740.

Also tomorrow evening June 23rd at the Salehurst Halt there will be fundraising for the Ghurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam. This is to support Charlie Beeden and his Angels on their walk in aid of both of these charities. On Sunday 24th June between 11am and 5pm the Robertsbridge Aviation Society will be holding a Book Sale at Bush Barn TN325PA. The museum will be open on this day and light refreshments will be available. Parking and entry is free but any donations go towards the upkeep of the museum. The Society also collects books, jumble, bric-a-brac and old clothes and clean rags to re-cycle. The Robertsbridge Group of Age UK will be holding its AGM on Monday 25th at Robertsbridge Hall starting at 1.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come and see what Age UK do and has to offer.

Tina Grevett our village PCSO will be holding a meet and greet on Wednesday 27th June in the High Street from 12 noon. If you have any community issues you would like to discuss with her she will be pleased to see you.

Robertsbridge Village Hall will be holding its AGM on Thursday 28th June at 7pm. This is an Open meeting and everyone is welcome. The present committee will be delighted to welcome any new members and any suggestions for fund raising, maintenance and day to day running of the hall. The Hall belongs to the village and more support would be more than well received in the efforts to maintain it. If you feel you could be of help please go along and see what you can offer.

Stoolball: Both matches this week were cancelled because of the weather. We had mixed fortune at Brightling’s mixed tournament last Sunday winning two out of the four matches with Phil Green hitting 112 but losing out on the most runs trophy by 10 runs while Ian Kitson did win the most wickets trophy with 5. On Sunday (24th) the Mixed are at Staplecross Tournament (10a.m.) and then at home to Civil Service on Tuesday (26th) starting at 7p.m.

Fishing: The season has started and the Rother Fishery Association yearly tickets for fishing the Rother are now available from Alan Apps( 01580-880877) @ £3.25 for anybody over the age of 12. Don’t forget to get your rod licence from the Post Office.
