Trustee Jose Manuel, who lost his mother, Jane, to breast cancer while in his teens, is running the Brighton marathon on Sunday, April 15 in aid of the charity.

Mr Manuel said: “We have had a fantastic response from the local community, with many kind messages on social media and while out fundraising.

“Clearly there is a need for what the charity offers and there are many families we can support.

“To date we have helped three families, but in the coming months we hope to help countless more as we continue to fundraise and spread the charity message across Sussex.”

Jane’s Wish was founded last year to provide memorable days out for young people in Sussex whose families have been affected by cancer, without the worry of funding or organising it.
