Rural Sussex seats election contest

THERE are contests in all three of the Horsham District Council wards which are in the Herald's circulation area.

In Chanctonbury (representing Ashington, Thakeham, West Chiltington and Wiston), there are five candidates for three vacant seats.

They are:

Roger Arthur (Con), Philip Circus (Con), Stephen Holbrook (LD), David Jenkins (Con)*, Peter Westrip (UKIP).

Six candidates are contesting three seats in Chantry (representing Amberley, Parham, Storrington and Sullington and Washington).

They are:

Norman Cooper (LD), Ray Dawe (C), Richard Martin (LD), Chris Mason (C), Jim Sanson (C), John Wallace (UKIP).

Two seats are being contested by four candidates in Pulborough and Coldwaltham.

Seeking election are:

Brian Donnelly (C)*, Maureen Girard (LD), Robert Margrett (LD), Roger Paterson (C)*.
