“I have never before examined so many well prepared students of such a high standard in one session, all entered by the same college.

“The enthusiasm and commitment of the staff reflects on the students who all obviously love what they do. This is a fantastic achievement by such a hard working team.”

Rye College Head of Music Chris McGeever was understandably delighted.

He said: “We are immensely proud of our students for achieving such outstanding results and very grateful to David Beer for his kind words.

“These results have been made possible by the hard work, dedication and commitment of our talented students, combined with the outstanding teaching of Anneliese Dale and Matthew Juckes who have both guided their students to these dizzy heights.

“At Rye College we are proud that we have approximately one in three of our students receiving weekly instrumental music lessons, a figure unequalled anywhere else in the county.”
