The Nissan driver and his front seat passenger, a 61-year-old woman, also from Bognor Regis, were both unhurt.

The Peugeot driver sustained a cut right hand but did not require hospital treatment.

After failing a roadside breath test she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and has been bailed to appear before Worthing magistrates on Tuesday, 12 April at 2pm.

This crash comes days after 64-year-old Michael Smith from Arundel died after being hit by a car, also on Lyminster Road.
