Songs From The Shows

AROUND 140 performers will be giving their time on Saturday evening to take part in Songs From The Shows.

The De La Warr Pavilion concert is being staged by organiser Tony Mansi as part of the fund-raising for the planned Bexhill Festival of Music in July.

Show compere Brian Storkey will introduce a wide range of acts, including both adults and school children.

The show will open with the Bexhill Consortium Primary Singers accompanied by Alan Sanderson with a selection from Aladdin.

Bexhill High School will present an excerpt from Grease, accompanied by Phil Baxter

Victoria Howarth accompanied by Roy Gregory will present Losing My Mind from Follies.

Bexhill Light Operatic and Dramatic Society's contribution will be a selection from Guys And Dolls and Anything Goes, accompanied by Helen Shuttleworth.

Act 2 will include East Sussex School of Performing Arts, accompanied by Jennifer Miles with an excerpt from their recent production of Honk!

Professional singer William Robert Allenby will offer numbers from The Sound of Music and Phantom of the Opera.

Bexhill Harmony are giving San Francisco Bay Blues, My Foolish Heart and You'll Never Walk Alone.

The Janice Blake Dance Studio will perform an excerpt from Mama Mia.

Bexhill Festival Of Music is supported by the De La Warr Pavilion, Earl's Bakery, the Bexhill Observer and Rother District Council.
