An 18-year-old was stabbed in Trafalgar Street, Brighton, on Tuesday evening (November 21).

The teenager suffered three stab wounds – one to his arm, one to his shoulder and one in his back – just before 7pm.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment and is currently in a serious but not life-threatening condition, say Sussex Police.

Police say two boys aged 15 and 16 were arrested at a nearby address shortly afterwards on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and are currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Helen Paine said: “If you saw what happened or if you have any other information, please contact us online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1243 of 21/11.”
