BREAKING NEWS: Car ends up on its side in ditch on A24 north of Southwater

A car has ended up on its side in a ditch on a stretch of the A24 between Horsham and Southwater this afternoon (Wednesday October 8).

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said the female driver of the car does not appear to be seriously injured.

Part of the A24 has been closed while emergency services recover the vehicle from the bank.

The spokesperson said the car left the road and ended up on its side in a ditch having also collided with a tree.

The incident happened at about 2.30pm and the road was closed at about 2.50pm.

South East Coast Ambulance Service and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene of the incident.
