Chaos on A23

CHAOS has reigned over the A23 this morning.

Traffic became congested at 6.30am when a lorry broke down near the Sayers Common junction.

Shortly after, a car overturned on the same stretch of road southbound at Bolney, closing one lane at around 8am.

The driver was not hurt.

Motorists were called to a halt again following a collision involving two vehicles near Handcross at 10.10am.

Drivers of the car and van suffered minor injuries.

One lane is currently closed on the A23 southbound in Bolney around Bolney Cross and is expected to open shortly following the recovery of vehicles.
