Delays seen following collision near Gatwick Airport

Delays have been seen near Gatwick Airport following a collision on the M23, the AA has said.

The AA said it first received a report of a collision on the M23 southbound by junction nine just after 7am this morning (Friday, January 6).

At 7.20am Gatwick Police said: “M23 southbound J9 slip road blocked due to RTC. Please use alternative route.”

According to the AA, the traffic has now been released and all lanes have reopened – although ‘residual delays remain’.
