Second accident in a day near Findon causes traffic delays

The A280 Long Furlong in Findon is closed and there are delays in both directions between Findon Roundabout and the Long Furlong Lane junction, because of a serious accident involving two vehicles.

A diversion is in operation and traffic is having to use the A24 and A27 instead.

The road is likely to remain closed late into tonight for accident investigation work and recovery.

This morning’s incident involved involving a car and a lorry with the vehicles going over the central reservation near to the crematorium, just north of Findon.
