Turners Hill B2110 crash appeal
A white Iveco box van, driven by a 34-year-old man from Maidstone, was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Vectra driven by a 67-year-old man from Uckfield, at the junction with Vowels Lane at Kingscote around 12.30pm on Friday July 19.
A 71-year-old man from Buxted who was a passenger in the car sustained serious injuries, including a fractured sternum and broken rib, and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment. His condition on Wednesday evening (July 24) was described as critical, but stable.

Hide AdThe driver of the van was uninjured; the driver of the Vectra was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital for slight injuries.
PC Gary Lewis from the Sussex Police Road Policing Unit said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either of the two vehicles in the area in the time leading up to the collision.
“Please call Sussex Police on 101 or e-mail [email protected] quoting Operation Chieftain.
“The road was closed for about four hours while rescue, recovery and investigation work took place and there was significant traffic congestion in the area.
“I would like to thank drivers and residents alike for their patience while this essential work was carried out.”
