Two-day training for job seekers in the city

A free two-day training course is available for job-seekers aged 19 and over, looking for the skills, resources and confidence to find work, experience or a change of career.

The ‘Work Ready’ sessions will be delivered by Albion in the Community (AITC), the charity arm of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, in partnership with city employer American Express.

The sessions will take place from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, June 6 at the American Express Community Stadium and on Tuesday, June 12 at the American Express 1 John Street office in Brighton.

Sessions include analysis of career goals and aspirations, job search/routes to employment, application form, CV and covering letter writing and refinement, interview techniques, social networking and communication skills.

AITC staff and Amex colleagues will mentor participants to help facilitate their job search, find entry into further learning, apprenticeships and work experience or volunteering. Places are limited and pre-booking is essential.
