Giant Jumble Sale: Nan and Rosemary have asked me to thank all of you who donated items for sale on Saturday morning, and the team of helpers who went along to sort and sell them. The prospect of some good bargains attracted plenty of customers (many queuing at the door before opening time), who spent some £400, a useful contribution to church funds. The remaining unsold items were later collected by the Hastings branch of Emmaus, the excellent charity which aids unfortunate homeless people and has helped many of them to make a new start in life.

Spooky Tales: It’s still not too late to apply for tickets to Geoff Hutchinson’s show in the Hall, starting at 6pm tomorrow (Saturday), with home-cooked supper and licensed bar. Please contact Celia Langrish (01442 882250, or [email protected] ) as soon as possible.

Church Services: In St Mary’s Church this Sunday there will be a service of Holy Communion at 8am, and Evensong followed by Parish Intercessions at 6pm.
