Unhappy with the council? Start a petition...

PROTESTERS can now register dissent with the council after Cabinet approved a scheme to accept paper petitions.

One query over the funding of the scheme, which is expected to cost Rother District Council around 1,000, was raised at Monday's Cabinet meeting before councillors appproved the proposal.

E-petitions are expected to be accepted by December.

A coalition of 1,500 residents can now trigger a debate at full council.
