UPDATE: Bottled water available at Asda in St Leonards

Bottles of water have been delivered to the Asda supermarket in St Leonards after a water main burst in Hastings today (Sunday August 30).

Free water is available at the store in Battle Road, St Leonards, TN37 7AA, Southern Water has confirmed.

There are two bottles available per person with further deliveries likely to take place this afternoon.

A spokesperson for Southern Water said water is not free for residents at other supermarkets in the area.

At least 3,500 homes have been affected by the burst main in Sedlescombe Road, with 5,000 more homes possibly affected.
