UPDATE: Hunston barn fire ‘started deliberately’

A FIRE in a barn in Hunston today (Thursday, July 30) was started deliberately, firefighters believe.

The blaze is now out after West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were called at 4.11pm and left at 5.25pm having made the scene safe.

The ten tonnes of straw in the open-sided barn was allowed to burn out an no one was injured.

A spokesman confirmed: “The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.”
