Violent robbery

A VIOLENT robber made off with cash from a Bexhill newsagent last week.

The thief used force on the young woman working in the shop to grab money from the till of Marina News between 2.45 and 3pm on Tuesday, February 27.

Police have declined to say how much was stolen, but it is not believed to be a large amount.

The woman was unhurt but badly shaken. Investigating officers are keen to catch the culprit, saying it was "a particularly nasty incident."

The offender is described as a black man, 25-35 years old, approximately 5ft 6in tall with a thin moustache and of average build.

The shop assistant said he was wearing a baseball cap and had a puffa style jacket on.
